What it does
Infrared reflectance sensors read the contrast between the line and the floor. Mounted under the front of the chassis, a few millimetres off the surface.
Before you replace it
Most 'broken' line sensors are dusty, misaligned, or set at the wrong ride height. Clean the emitters, check the gap, and re-run the calibration. Replace only when one channel reads a constant value under both black and white.
