What it is
The standard yellow TT gear motor, four per car. Cheap, generic and the reason the Elegoo platform is affordable to run at class scale.
Failure mode
Stripped plastic gears: the motor whines but the wheel does not turn, or turns only without load. Usually caused by students driving the car into a wall at full speed, repeatedly.
Order as a set
Replace in fours. Mixing a new motor with three worn ones leaves the car pulling to one side, which then gets blamed on the code.
