What it does
The Quad RGB Sensor reads the line under the robot and also detects colour, which is what the colour-sorting and line-following lessons depend on.
Failure mode
Sensors get scratched, dusty, or knocked out of alignment. The symptom is inconsistency: the same program works on one surface and fails on another, or one channel reads permanently dark. Clean it first; if a single channel is dead, replace.
