Hiwonder xArm 1S

xArm 1S is a desktop arm driven by serial bus servos, and it is the point where a robotics course stops being about driving and starts being about position control. The aluminium frame and bearing base hold calibration well enough for repeated classroom use.

Students work through gripping and sorting tasks, and the anti-blocking gripper clutch means a stalled servo does not become a replacement part — a real consideration when thirty pairs of hands are learning.

Three options are sold. Unassembled is the one to choose if building the arm is part of the lesson, and for most schools it should be: the wiring and servo ID assignment teach more than the finished arm does. Assembled suits a lab that needs it working on day one. The Synchronization Controller is a teaching add-on for recording motion by hand and playing it back.
