Where to buy in Singapore

Polaris states it is the sole Makeblock distributor in Singapore, and Kingly retails the education range. Makeblock is sold into schools together with teacher training and curriculum support, which the distributor provides and we do not.

We keep this page because the comparison is still useful.

Overview

The Makeblock mBot2 (also sold as mBot Neo) is an entry-level programmable robot for the classroom. It runs on the ESP32-based CyberPi controller — a quad-core board with a full-colour display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth — so students progress from Scratch blocks to Python, and on to IoT and AI, all in the free mBlock software. Encoder motors give precise motion, a 4-channel RGB sensor follows lines and detects colour, and a 2nd-gen ultrasonic sensor measures distance.
